RE: ARB-2017-79: Title Max and Game Stop Signs
Dear Beth,
We have received the above -noted sign application. The following revisions are requested to make the proposal consistent
with the Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines.
I . 4 colors are proposed for the tenant panels. On June 18, 2018 the ARB determined that the existing green background
was not required to be retained, but the tenant panels should be limited to 3 colors as outlined in the guidelines. Please
revise the proposal to a maximum of 3 colors for the tenant panels.
2. The final approved colors for the two illustrated panels will hold for the third panel. Please add a note to this regard
on the drawing.
3. The shade of red proposed is Pantone 185C. This shade falls outside the approvable range. 186 C can be approved (as
can many others). If red is retained as a proposed color, revise the shade of red to one that is approvable.
4. Please indicate the type of internal illumination. If LED, add the following note to the drawing: The level of
illumination provided by the LED lights will not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp
(ma) neon.
Within 15 days of the date of this letter, please send me a letter (by email is acceptable) indicating whether you will or
will not proceed with these revisions. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve
your application. If you choose to proceed with the revisions, please forward me one set of revised drawings together with
a memo summarizing the revisions you've made. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60-day review
period associated with your original submittal. However, I expect to complete the review of your revised proposal within
2 weeks of your re -submittal.
If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to receiving your
revisions and completing this review with an approval letter.
Sincerely,
Margaret Maliszewski

Good morning, Beth.
I found the approval letter for the monument sign. It is attached. The green in the monument sign was specified to
match the green metal roof. The preference would be to maintain this coordination.
Thanks.
Margaret

I think the green in the sign was coordinating with green on the building, so we'd need to consider overall coordination.
I'll have to look at the building and give it some thought.

Thanks Margaret, I assumed there had to have been some criteria dictating the colors. If GameStop updated their panel
to their logo colors(Red and Black)would the TitleMax proposal be considered? I apologize, the colors should be PMS
485C and 287C.
Thanks!

Beth,
My memory is that the original sign approval called for consistency in the tenant panel colors, so the red and blue would
be a problem. I will try to find the file tomorrow to confirm. Also, in my Pantone set, both 185 and 485 are shades of red.
Thanks.

Subject: Monument Sign
Hi Margaret,
Do you know if there is comprehensive sign criteria established for the monument sign at this property? The criteria I
found online would seem to address the wall signage only. TitleMax is interested in updating their tenant panel to more
closely reflect their logo (attached is rendering they provided). The colors would be PMS 185C and PMS 485C(they
mistakenly listed 185 twice).
Thanks!
