Re: Plan: WPO 201600034
Written Warning
This is your Written Warning in accordance with section 17-900 of the Water Protection
Ordinance of Albemarle County, Section 62.1-44.15:37 of the Virginia Stormwater Management
Act. Upon a field visit that occurred on June 18, 2018, the following deficiencies were noted:
1. Maintain positive flow within ditch -lines. Remove obstructions and regrade to ensure
good flow.
2. Stabilize all ditch -lines to prevent scouring erosion from occurring.
3. Stabilize all basins and traps to minimize erosion on side banks.
4. Repair, maintain, or replace all perimeter Silt Fence as required per minimum standards
found within the VESCH.
5. Over -seed entire site to reduce sediment laden runoff and to establish a full mature stand
of vegetation to inhibit erosion as per the VESCH minimum specification for Permanent
and Temporary Seeding.
6. Maintain, repair, or install Inlet Protection as required on all inlets.
7. Remove or install properly, to maintain positive flow, Culvert pipe from ditch -line on lot
13. Install culvert or remove stone from ditch -line on lots 5 and 7.
8. Stabilize all slopes that are over 3:1 with vegetation other than grass. Per the VSMP
program and Albemarle Design Standards.
9. Clean Sediment and Debris from all outlet Protection and Rip/Rap Channels.
10. Ensure all Traps and Basins are under the capacity for maintenance, and do not need
sediment removed to meet VESCP capacity requirements.
To comply, all above listed items must be completed prior to July 6th, 2018.
Failure to comply by the required date may subject the owner to penalties and remedies as listed under
Sections 17-902 and 17-903 of the Water Protection Ordinance of the Albemarle County Code.
Should you have a legitimate reason you cannot complete your required corrections by the above given
date, you must immediately contact your erosion control inspector at (434) 987-9709. Unless you have
contacted us and alternative arrangements are agreed to, all compliance work is expected to be completed
by the above date.
