All -- I will coordinate the County signature on the plat through David/Roudabush just as we have done
in the past. He'll need to sign the seal after the County's signature is applied (and before it's ready for
recordation at the Circuit Court.)
David/Bill --after John's comment is satisfied, feel free to let me know when the plat is arriving so I can
get it signed and immediately hand it back to you.
Thanks everyone.

Thanks for following up JT. I appreciate your communication. Our persistence was rooted in a different
set of expectations, but that's water under the bridge at this point. Thanks again.

Reid and Jono,
I'd like to share some information in case you make applications with the County in the future (or if you would just like
to be kept up-to-date on future applications):
1. Please refer to the County's application review schedule. This schedule shows our next application deadline. You
can find our review schedules here: http://www.albemarle.org/deptforms.asp?department=cdsched
2. The best way to stay informed about the status of an application is to make sure your contact info is provided
where the application asks"Who should we contact about this application?" For most of our applications, this
area is found on page 1.You would then be included on any comments related to the project.
a. Another option is to use our records management system called "County View."There are a variety of
ways to obtain information about your application using this tool. Here is the link:
http://countyviewweb.albemarle.org/
With this mind, it may be helpful to see how this application has been reviewed to-date:
• February 24--Application submitted
• March 7--The official "submittal date" of your application under the application review schedule.State law
provides 60 days for localities to complete their review, but the County's goal is to provide County comments
within 21 days(often state agencies like VDOT or Health Department are longer and State Code gives them 90
days). In this case, the County's goal date for the first set of review comments would have been March 28th
• March 11-14--Traded voicemails with Jono.
• March 15-- Received email from Jono asking about timeline for comments. I responded within 4 hours that I
would provide comments by 3/22.
• March 21-- Received email from Jono asking for a response back if comments were to be later than 3/22 (I did
not respond because I was still on-track to provide comments by the date I provided the week prior).
• March 22 (morning)--Contacted Clint Harmon to discuss comments and realized I had been working on a
different Old Trail application received under the same submittal date.We received four different Old Trail
applications for March 7th. I was assigned to review three out of these four applications, but SUB201600048
went to another planner.
• March 22 (early afternoon)-- Found out my colleague was not going to be able to provide comments by the
date I provided,so I took it off her plate and stayed late to finish it by the day I originally relayed on 3/15.This
included reaching out to another division that didn't plan to respond until 3/28 as well.
Under the County's review schedule, the total review time from application to first comments was 15 days.
From here, I anticipate that David Jordan and I will be able to review the revisions quickly over email and get your plat
signed as soon as possible. However, for future applications, keep in mind that it can take up to two weeks to review
revisions especially if the revisions must go to other reviewers.
Please email me if you have any questions about the information above.

Attachments: Re: Old Trail Block 4 Plat; Planning Application Review for SUB201600048 Old Trail Village,
Blk. 4-Final.
David,
I have two minor changes for Planning approval:
1. Section 14-302(A)(3)—On Sheet 1 and on Sheet 2, please change the name of"Penny Well Court"to "Penny
Well Lane."
2. Section 14-303(A)—On Sheet 1, please update the Statement of consent to division to reflect Block 4 instead of
Block 12-B.
Jono,
In talking with Clint Harmon this morning, I realized that I had incorrectly been discussing a different Old Trail plat with
you. In our voicemails/emails, I was looking at SUB201600050(Block 1B) instead of SUB201600048 (Block 4).
Well, a different Planner was reviewing the application of interest to you and she wasn't prepared to provide comments
until March 28th. I took it off her plate and reviewed it so you wouldn't be delayed any further. We get a lot of Old Trail
applications and I should've read/listened to your messages more closely.
Anyway, David, please let me know if you have any questions on the requested changes. I've attached one comment
from John Anderson.
Thanks,
J.T. Newberry
