RE: ARB-2018-74 and -75: Malloy Ford Wall Signs (045000000068C1)
Dear Applicant,
We have reviewed your request for the above -noted signs and have approved the designs as illustrated in the attached
drawings. (Note that multiple revisions were made, but the revision dates are not noted on the drawings.) You may consider
this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness.
This approval is specifically conditioned on the following:
l . Execution of the design indicated on the final approved plans, attachments, materials, samples, and other submittal
items presented.
2. The level of illumination produced by the LED lights shall not exceed the level of illumination produced by a
single stroke of 30 milliamp neon.
3. The cabinet signs shall have opaque backgrounds. Only the letter portion of the sign shall illuminate.
Please note the following:
l . Any changes in the approved design will require a new application and additional review.
2. "Opaque" means that light will not pass through the material. Consequently, the color of the background portion
of the face of the sign will not be visible when the sign is internally illuminated at night. If you have any question
about this requirement for an opaque background, do not proceed with the construction or installation of the sign
until you have spoken with County staff.
3. This sign has been approved as a non -illuminated sign (no lighting). To add lighting, the applicant must first obtain
