RE: Martha Jefferson Hospital Apartments Stockpile Area VSMP Plan (WP0201800027)
Thank you for your comments dated May 14, 2018 on the above -referenced project. The updated plans
reflect changes to address your comments as described below:
A. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
1. SWPPP provided with this submittal.
B. Management Plan
1. PPP exhibit included in the SWPPP.
2. VSMP Registration Statement will be submitted with owner signature.
C. Stormwater Management Plan
1. The plan has been revised to include a stormwater management plan. This plan provides both water
quantity and quality controls per 9 VAC25-870. The plan also provides details, profiles and an extensive
calculations packet showing stormwater compliance for the ultimate development of this project.
2. Comment acknowledged.
D. Erosion and Sediment Control Plan
1. VSMP Application will be refiled at the County with owner signature.
2. Comment acknowledged. Final plans and calculations will be signed and dated.
3. "WP0201800027" has been added to the cover sheet.
4. Limits of inundation zone shown and labeled on the plans.
5. "Existing Rivanna River" label label has been removed from the plans.
6. FEMA reference number has been revised on the plans.
7. Dust control symbol provided on Sheet 4.
8. Riser anchor provided. The minimum 2 x riser diameter length/width requirement for riser anchors has
been provided (48" riser, L=8', W=8', D=1.5'). This anchor weight (approximately 14,400 lbs.) is in excess
of the buoyancy force created by the riser (approximately 7,312 Ibs.).
9. Contractor parking and staging area has been shown on the plans.
10. Silt fence along the southern property line has been revised to run parallel to contours.
11. Managed and preserved slopes have been added to the legend.
