Please see our response to comments below. 1. On Sheet SP.1, please add a title bar stating "Letter of Revision #1— SDP199300018 McDonald's at Pantops Minor Site Plan Amendment." AECOM Response: Note has been added. 2. Per Section 18-5.1.60 (g) of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance, the minimum width allowed for drive through lanes is 11.' The LOR shows the re -striped drive through lane as 10' wide. Please revise the drawings. AECOM Reponse: The drive-thru width has been widened to 11' per the zoning ordinance. 3. Per Section 18-5.1.60(I) of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance, the internal vehicular travelway adjacent to the drive through lane can only be one -directional. The proposed striping identified as #8 in the Schedule on Sheet SP.1 shows two-way vehicular arrow marking throughout the entire parking lot. Please remove the arrows that show parking moving in the opposite direction of drive through traffic. a. Please be aware that the vehicular travelway in front of the building that is not adjacent to the drive through lane can be marked as two-dimensional. AECOM Response: The two-way vehicular travelways adjacent to the drive-thru lane have been revised to a one-way travel lane. 4. Please adjust the scale to an even number. The scale should be either 1" = 20' or 1" = 40' on an engineer's scale. AECOM Response: The scale has been adjusted to 1"=20'. S. In accordance with Section 18-4.12.16 (e), please add wheel stops/bumper blocks at the front of the two southernmost handicap parking spaces located in front of the building. The bumper blocks should be shown on the first drawing. AECOM Response: Bumper blocks have been added and are shown on SPA. 6. The most recently approved minor site plan amendment for the McDonalds at Pantops, SDP199300018, shows a large amount of landscaping within the planter area that surrounds the new menu boards along the drive through. Please provide additional information regarding what landscaping will be removed. Staff must verify that any landscaping items that are removed does not bring the overall site below the minimum landscaping requirements of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance. a. If any landscaping will be removed during construction but then replanted once the signs are installed, please provide a landscaping plan to staff showing the new landscaping. Identify species, locations, height/caliper at time of installation, total quantity of each species proposed, etc. Please consult Section 18-32.7.9 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance for specific landscaping requirements. AECOM Response: The landscaping at the planter area, where new menu boards have been specified will remain as existing. New menu board location will not interfere with current landscaping. 7. Prior to constructing/erecting the following outdoor signs, a separate sign permit application must be submitted, reviewed, and approved by the Albemarle County Department of Community Development. Approval of the LOR application is separate from the sign permit application. Please contact Heather McMahon at hmcmahon@albemarle.org for specific questions related to the sign permit application. a. Please add the following note to Sheet SP.1: "The locations and construction details of the following signs are shown on this Letter of Revision for conceptual purposes only: i. 6.
