Description of Proposal The Applicant is proposing to install a i5o' monopole (z' lightning rod) on Lot 94-39 on Black Cat Road in Keswick, Virginia. The subject parcel is 3.2.49 acres, split -zoned Rural Area and Commercial (monopole will be on RA portion) and in the Scottsville Magisterial District. The eastern portion of the subject parcel is heavily forested and so the monopole will be significantly screened from Interstate 64. The proposed monopole is a replacement for the 152.5' lattice structure currently located on an adjacent parcel. The intent is to replace the existing structure with a low -profile design with minimal impact to the network disruption in services or loss in coverage. While every effort is being made to maintain the current site, the Applicant must plan for an alternative to avoid service disruption to the subscribers of the five wireless carriers on the structure. The Applicant is providing photosimulations of the subject site from Black Cat/ Mechunk Roads and 1-64 East. Also included are photographs of the entrance to the parcel looking towards the tower and photographs from the proposed location looking north, south, east and west. The Applicant will be holding a community meeting and balloon fly.
