An adjourned meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County,
Virginia, was held on June 21, 1995, at 5:00 P.M., Meeting Room 241, County
Office Building, Charlottesville, Virginia, said meeting being adjourned from
June 14, 1995.
PRESENT: Mr. David P. Bowerman, Mrs. Charlotte Y. Humphris, Messrs.
Charles S. Martin (arrived at 5:05 P.M.), Forrest R. Marshall, Jr. (arrived at
5:10 P.M.), Walter F. Perkins and Mrs. Sally H. Thomas.
ABSENT: None.
Agenda Item No. 1. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order at
5:00 P.M., by the Chairman.
Agenda Item No. 2. Executive Session: Legal Matters.
Motion was offered by Mr. Bowerman, seconded by Mrs. Thomas, that the
Board go into Executive Session pursuant to Section 2.1-344(A) of the Code of
Virginia under Subsection (7) to consult with legal counsel and staff
regarding specific legal matters relating to reversion issues. Roll was
called and the motion carried by the following recorded vote:
AYES: Mrs. Thomas, Mr. Bowerman, Mrs. Humphris and Mr. Perkins.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Mr. Marshall and Mr. Martin.
(Note: Mr. Marshall and Mr. Martin left during the executive session.)
Agenda Item No. 3. Certify Executive Session.
At 8:00 P.M., the Board reconvened into open session and Mr. Bowerman
moved that the Board certify by a recorded vote that to the best of each Board
members's knowledge only public business matters lawfully exempted from the
open meeting requirements of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and
identified in the motion authorizing the executive session were heard,
discussed or considered in the executive session. Mrs. Thomas seconded the
motion. Roll was called and the motion carried by the following recorded
vote:
AYES: Mrs. Thomas, Mr. Bowerman, Mrs.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Mr. Marshall and Mr. Martin.
Humphris and Mr. Perkins.
Agenda Item No. 4. Adjourn.
Mr. Bowerman moved, seconded by Mrs. Humphris, to defer all those items
which may or may not have been scheduled for June 21, 1995, until June 28,
1995. Roll was called and the motion carried by the following recorded vote:
AYES: Mrs. Thomas, Mr. Bowerman, Mrs. Humphris and Mr. Perkins.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Mr. Marshall and Mr. Martin.
Mr. Bowerman moved, seconded by Mrs. Humphris, to adjourn to June 28,
1995, 7:00 P.M. Roll was called and the motion carried by the following
recorded vote:
AYES: Mrs. Thomas, Mr. Bowerman, Mrs. Humphris and Mr. Perkins.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Mr. Marshall and Mr. Martin.
