19. ZTA201100006. Noise. Ordinance to amend Secs. 4.18.01, Applicability, 4.18.02, Definitions, and Sec.
4.18.05, Exempt sounds, of Chapter 18, Zoning, of the Albemarle C ounty Code. The proposed ordinance
w ould amend Sec. 4.18.01 to clarify the applicability of the noise regulations in Sec. 4.18; amend Sec.
4.18.02 to add definitions of “agric ultural activity” and “place of public entertainment”; and amend Sec.
4.18.05 to state the exemptions in a manner consistent with the exemptions in County Code § 7106.
20. Ordinance to amend Secs. 7102, Applicability, 7103, Definitions, 7105, Prohibited acts enumerated,
and 7106, Exemptions, of C hapter 7, Health and Safety, of the Albemarle County Code. The
proposed ordinance would amend Sec. 7102 to clarify the applic ability of the noise regulations in Chapter 7;
amend Sec. 7103 by amending the definition of “place of public entertainment” and add definitions of
“agricultural activ ity” and “outdoor”; amend Sec . 7105 by prohibiting sound from devices produc ing outdoor
amplified mus ic or serving as an outdoor public address sys tem, or both, if it is audible offsite in the
c ircumstances described; amend Sec. 7106 to state the ex emptions in a manner consistent with the
exemptions in County C ode § 184.18.05, including amending the exemption for sound related to
agricultural ac tivities to apply to sound produced “by,” rather than “during,” an agricultural activ ity; and to
make other tec hnical amendments necessary to conform to Virginia Code requirements.
21. To consider the approval of a proposed Lease Agreement with Crozet Running, LLC for 1,697 square feet
of space on the ground floor of the new Croz et Library, located at 2020 Library Avenue, Crozet, VA 22932
(TMP 056A2010001800).
22. Ordinance to establish a tourism zone pursuant to Virginia Code § 58.13851. Proposed ordinance to
establish a touris m zone pursuant to Virginia Code § 58.13851. The proposed ordinance w ould establish a
tourism zone whose boundaries are coterminous w ith the boundaries of the C rozet Development Area as
depicted in the C rozet Master Plan, designate the tourism zone as the “Croz et Tourism Zone,” and state
that the purpos e of the touris m zone is to prov ide gap financing as authoriz ed by Virginia Code § 58.1
