An adjourned meeting of the Board of Supervisors was held on-August 22,
1988, at 8:00 A.M., Rooms 5/6, Second Floor, County Office Building,
Charlottesville, Virginia. This meeting was adjourned from August 17, 1988.
PRESENT: Messrs. Edward H. Bain, Jr. and F. R. Bowie, Mrs. Patricia H.
Cooke, Messrs. Walter F. Perkins and Peter T. Way.
ABSENT: Mr. C. Timothy Lindstrom.
SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Messrs. Charles Armstrong, William Finley,
Clifford Haury, Forrest Marshall, Charles Martin and Charles Tolbert.
ABSENT: Mrs. Sharon Wood.
The meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. by the Chairman, Mr. Way.
For this informal meeting of the Board and School Board, items discussed were
the future use of the School Board's property on Whitewood Road and combining
the building custodial and maintenance functions of the schools and general
government into a Joint Maintenance Facility. The staff was requested to
pursue this idea with a report to the two boards in October or November, 1988.
It was decided to meet on a regular basis, on the fourth Monday of each month
at 8:00 A.M.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned about 9:10 A.M.
