Edward H. Bain, Jr., who was duly appointed pursuant to Virginia Code
Section 15.1-589 and 24.1-76.1, to fill a vacancy on the Albemarle County
of Supervisors for the Samuel Miller District upon the resignation of
Gerald E. Fisher, for the term of office beginning October 15, 1987, and to
serve until such time as a special election shall be held and the person
elected has been duly qualified for that office, appeared in the Clerk's
Office on the 15th day of October, 1987, and duly qualified as such Member
of the Board of Supervisors upon taking and subscribing the oath of office
as prescribed by law.
