RE: Riverside Village Block 1 Community Meeting I Riverside Village NMD Amendment
Dear Neighbor,
We invite you to share comments and ask questions regarding our request to amend the existing
Riverside Village Neighborhood Model District (NMD). This amendment request is specific to
Block 1, which is where the Shops at Riverside Village are located. This amendment seeks to
establish residential units in the vacant commercial spaces, by eliminating the minimum
commercial square footage requirement for Block 1. All commercial to residential renovations are
interior to existing buildings; no new buildings are proposed with this zoning map amendment
request.
We invite you to ask questions and share comments about the proposed project, County review
procedures, and relevant regulations and policies of the County applicable to the proposed project
at a community meeting. The meeting will be held at the Martha Jefferson Hospital Outpatient
Center in the Kessler Conference Room on Monday, November 28 at 6:15 p.m, in conjunction
with the regularly scheduled Pantops Community Advisory Committee (CAQ meeting. The
Martha Jefferson Hospital Outpatient Center is located at 595 Martha Jefferson Drive,
Charlottesville, VA 22911.
