Pursuant to the following waiver, the Board of County ~apervisors of Albe-
marle County, Virginia, met in special session at 11:00 A.~. on this date, in
the County Office Building, Charlottesville, Virginia, with the following members
present: ~essrs. Stuart F. Carwile, Gerald E. Fisher, J. T. Henley, Jr., ~¥illiam
C. Thacker, Jr. and Gordon L. ~heeler~ Absent: Mr. Lloyd F. ~ood, Jr.
~Ve, the undersigned, members of the Board of County Supervisors
of Albemarle County, Virginia, do hereby waive notice and special
service thereof, of a meeting to be held at 11:00 A.M. on the 3~st
day of January, ~972, for the purpose of accepting or rejecting
rate of interest offered by the Virginia Supplemental Retirement
System for the purchase of $2,2~0,000.00 in Albemarle County School
Bonds, and we do hereby consent to any and all business and the
taking of such action at said meeting upon the matter hereinabove
mentioned as may be lawful, incident and necessary thereto.

The Albemarle County School Board met immediately prior to this meeting and
took action recommending that the rate of interest of 4.87~% offered by the Vir-
ginia Supplemental l~etirement System for the purchase of $2,2~0,000.00 School
Bonds be accepted. Accordingly, the following resolution was offered by Mr.
Carwile, seconded by Mr. Thacker:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County,
Virginia, that the recommendation of the Albemarle County School
Board, to accept the rate of interest of 4.87~% offered by the Vir-
ginia Supplemental Retirement System for the purchase of $2,250,000.00
in Albemarle County School Bonds, be and the same is hereby accepted.
This resolution was adopted by the following roll call vote:
AYES: ~esars. Carwile, Fisher, Henley, Thacker and Wheeler.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Nr. Wood.
On motion by ~r. Carwile, seconded by Nr. Thacker, the Board adjourned to
an executive session to discuss employment of a County Attorney. Notion carried
by the following recorded vote:
AYES: Messrs. Carwile, Fisher, Henley, Thacker and ~heeler.
NAYS: None.

( NOTE:
This meeting is superseded by meeting of February 9, 1972. The Common-
wealth's Attorney advised that Special '~Vaiver was not acceptable and five
days written notice of special meeting, called on written request from
two members of the Board of Supervisors, must be given to each member of
the Board and to the C~ommonwealth's Attorney~. In discussing this with
Nr. Harry Frazier, Bond Attorney, the County Executive was advised that
resolutions prepared by his office were required and would be submitted
for adoption at the February 9th meeting. )
