1957-03-14SPECIALNarch 14, 1957 Pursuant to the following waiver, members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County, Virginia, met in special session on this date in the County Office Building, Charlottesville, Virginia, at 9:00 A.M. with the folloWing members present: Messrs. John W. Williams, Edgar N. Garnett, H. Ashby Harris, Edward L. Smith, N~ Y. Sutherland, Jr. and Rbbert Thraves. Absent: None. We, the undersigned, members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County, Virginia, hereby waive notice and special service thereof, of a meeting to be held at 9:00 A.M. on the fourteenth day of March, 1957, in the County Office Building, Charlottesville, Virginia, for the purpose of considering matters pertaining to the proposed 1957-58 Budget, and we do hereby consent to the transaction of any and all business and the t~ki~f such action at said meeting upon the matter herinabove menti°ned as may be lawful, incident and necessary t~e~o. /~ ~,~ Ecgar t~. Pursuant to Sections 15.-282(2) and 15-300 of the Code of Virginia, the County Executive pre- sented to the Board the proposed budget for the year 1957v58. The bookmobile was discussed in connection with budget appropriation ~nd Mr. N. Y. Sutherland, Jr. and Mr. Edward L. Smith, advised that they had contacted seFeral persons connected with the schools, all of whom had stated that they felt the bookmobile was very worth while. After some discussion of the budget, motion was offered by Mr. Garnett, seconded by Mr. Thraw and unanimously carried, ordering that a synopsis of the proposed 1957-58 budget be advertised in the Daily Progress in accordance with law and April 17, 1957, at lO:00 A.M.~;~the County Office Building was set as the time and place for the public hearing on same. On motion, the meeting adjourned.
