An ad~journed meeting of December 17, 1958, was held at 2:00 P.M. on this date ~ith the follow-
ing members present: Messrs. John W. Williams, Edgar N. Garnett, H. Ashby Harris, Edward L. Smith, M. ~
Sutherland, Jr.. and Robert Thraves..
Officers present: County Executive and Commonwealth's Attorney.
The Board sat in with the School Board which received bids for the construction of the Char-
lottesvi!le Elementary Negro School. After the opening of bids, the Chairman of the School Board an-
nounces that the bids would be taken under consideration.
Plat was received on Tarrell Subdivision which had been approved by the City and County
Planning CommiSsions. On motion of Mr. Thraves, seconded by Mr. Sutherland, this plat was' approved
and the Chairman and Clerk were authorized to sign same on behalf of this Board.
Plat was received on Lakeside Subdivision which had been approved by the City and County

Planning ommmssions. On motion of Mr. Thraves, seconded by Mr. Sutherland, this plat was. approved and
the Chairman and Clerk were autho~ized to sign same on behalf of this Board.
The County Executive advised that the term of the following persons on the Planning Oommissioz
would expire on December 31, 1958: Messrs. William McClung, Floyd Johnson, Gaines Fray, Nelson Beck,.
William Smith and Cecil Maup~n. On motion of Mr. Garnett, seconded by Mr. Thraves, the foregoing were
reappointed to the Planning Commission for a term of four years.
Claims against the County amounting to $233,197.98 were presented, examined and allowed, and
certified to the Director of Finance for payment and charged against the following funds:
