Pursuant to the following waiver, members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle
County, Virginia, met in special session on this date in the County Of~fice Building, Charlottesville,
Virginia, at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Messrs.. John W. Williams, Edgar N. Garnett,
H. Ashby Harris, Edward L. Smith, M. Y. Sutherland, Jr. and Robert Th~aves. Absent: None..
We, the undersigned, members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County,
Virginia, do hereby waive notice and special service thereof, of a meeting to be held
~t 7:30 P.M. en the eleventh day of May, 1959, in the County Office Building, Char-
lottesville, Virginia, for the purpose of considering certain renovations of the
Court House and County Office Building, and we do hereby consent to any and all
business and the taking of such action at said meeting upon the matter hereinabove
mentioned as may be lawful, incident and necessary ~er~o.

Mr.. Johnson and Mr. Gibson, archiSects,~ firm of Johnson, Craven and Gibson, and Mr. Watkins and
Mr. Quarterman, engineers, firm of Wiley and Wilson, appeared before the Board with plans and specifica-
tions regards re-wiring, lighting, air conditioning and certain renova%ions to the County Office Buildi~
and Court House. Each of the above persons covered certain phases of the -work to ,be done and gave
detailed explanations as to, what the plans and. specifications covered. It appeared to be the sense of
the architects and engineers that all work should be let under one bid.
After considerable discussion, it was moved and seconded that the architect proceed wi~h adver-
tisement requesting invitation to bid on the proposed work to be received at: a time to be set by the
County Executive.
