Pursuant to the following waiver, members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle
County, Virginia, met .in special session on this date in the County Office Building, Charlottesville,
Virginia, at 3:00 P.M. with the following present: Messrs. John W~ Williams, H. Ashby Harris, Edgar N. ~
Garnett, George C. Palmer, II, N. Y. ~utherland, Jr. and Robert Thraves. Absent: None.
We, the undersigned, members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County,
Virginia, do hereby waive notice and special service thereof, of a meeting to'be
heldaat 3:00 P.M. on the twenty'third day of February, 1960, in the County Office
Building, Charlottesville, Virginia, for the purpose of considering matters relating
to the school construction program and the Beaver Creek Dam projects and we do hereby
consent to any and all business and the taking of such a~tion at said meeting upon the
matters hereinabove mentioned as may be lawful, inciden~and necessary thereto.

Officers present: County Executive and Commonwealth's Attorney.
Others present: Mr. Paul H. Cale, Mr. Leslie H. Walton and certain members of the School
Board.
After considerable discussion of the school construction program, motion was offer~ by Mr.
Thraves, seconded by Mr. Harris, and unanimously carried, authorizing the School Board to proceed with
plans on Cismontand Albemarle High School and the balance of the school program as previously outlin~
to this Board.
On motion of Mr. Harris, seconded by Nr. Sutherland, the following resolution was pass~ on
first reading and carried over for second reading at lO:O0 A.M. on February 29, 1959, bT the following
record~ vote: Ayes: Messrs. John W. Williams, Edgar N. Garnett, H. Ashby Harris, George C~ Palmer,
II, N. Y. Sutherland, Jr. and Robert Thraveso Noes: None.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County,
Virginia, that $393,860.00 be and the same is ~reby ~ransferr~ from the General
Eevenue Fund to the School Capital Outlay Fund to be used in connection with the
school construction program.
On motion of Mr. Garnett, seconded by Mr. Thraves, and unanimously carrie, it was ordered
t~hat the Co?~ty proceed to purchase land for the Beaver Creek Dam project.
On motion of Mr. Sutherland, seconded by Mr. Palmer, the following resolution was pass~ on
first r~ding and carried'over for second reading at 10:O0 A.M. on February 29, 1959.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County,
Virginia, that $30,000.00 be an~ the same is hereby appropriated for the Beaver
Creek Dam project.
