C. Burcell MC~ue ~ E. H. Bain W. W. Wood The meetingQpened with the Lord's Prayer led by Mr. E. H. Bain. Upon motion,:made by Mr. Bain and seconded by Mr'. Williams, Mr. E. D. Daughtrywas appointed to the Crozet Water Committee to replace the late Mr. Dan B. Owen. Members of the Crozet Water Oommittee met with th~ Board, and speaking for the Committee, Mr. Jack~Apperson advised that it was the feeling of the Committee that they get along the best they could until funds are available to do the work which needs to be done, and further that, if possible, the dam should be raised in a cheaper way than the specifications of Wiley and Wilson called for s~ud that the springs should be centralized without a filte['for the present. Mr. McNutt advised that the lowest bid received on raising the dam was $31,000.00 but that he felt that some local contractor might possibly be able to do this cheaper. Upon motion, made by Mr. Williams and~seconded by Mr. Harris, it was ordered that a committee from this Board work with the Crezet Water Committee, Mr.'Robinson, Mr. McNutt, and the Health Depart- ment, and make recommendations to the Board at its next regular meeting. MrS. McCue appointed Mr. Bain, Mr. Smith and Mr. Robinson to this committee. [~'~'M~. McNutt, of Wiley and Wilson,'suggested that rather than raise the dam at this time, that the Board consider a filter plant and ways and means of financing same, which he felt would do as much good as raising the dam~ Mr. Bain stated that he felt that in the use of garnishments for the collection of taxes, accuracy should be used because of the fact that a third party is b~ught into the matter. It was the expressed feeling of Mr. Bain, Mr. Williams, and Mr. Harris that the fourth collection letter be mailed to the employer . Mr. McCue asked that Mr. Harris, Mr. Wood, and Mr. Williams serve on a committee to dratt such a letter. Upon motion, the meeting adjourned. Chairman
