Pursuant to the following waiver, the members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle
County, Virginia, met in special session on this date in the County Office Building, Charlottesville,
Virginia, at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Messrs. H. Ashby Harris, Edgar N. Garnett,
Edward L. Smith, M. Y. Sutherland, Jr., Robert Thraves and John W~ Williams.
We, the mndersigned, members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County,
Virginia, hereby waive notice, and special service thereof, of a meeting to be held
at ~:30 P.M. en the thirtieth day of January, 1956, in the County Office Building,
Charlottesville, Virginia, for the pmrpose e~ considering matters pertaining te the
Welfare Budget, and we de hereby consent to the transaction of any and all business
and the taking of such action at said meeting upon the matter hereinabove mentioned
as may be lawful, incident and necessary thereto.

Officers Present: County Executive, Commonwealth's Attorney and S~erintendent of Public
Welfare.
The Budge~ of the Department of Public Welfare for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1957 was
presented. After due study and consideration, a motion by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Thraves, that
the WeJfare Budget in the total smm of $195,205.00 for the fiscal year 195~57 be approved and that the
Chairman be authorized to execute the Budget request was unanimously adcpte~.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
