Pursuant to the following waiver, the members of the Board of County Supervisors
of Albemarle County, Virginia, met in special session on this date with the following membersil
present: Messrs. C. Purcell McCue, Eo J. Ballard, Henry Chiles, C. R. Dottier, P. B. Peyton~
and W. N. Wood.
We, the undersigned Members of the Board of County Supervisors of Albemarie
County, hereby waive notice, and service thereof, of a joint meeting of said
Board and Albemarle 0ounty School Board to be held at 2 o'clock, P. M. on
September 28, 1948, at County Office Building for the purpose of consider-
ing a possible means of financing a-joint negro high school with the City
of Charlottesville; and we do hereby consent to the transaction of any
and all business and the taking of such action at said meeting upon the
matters hereinabove mentioned as may be lawful, incident and necessary thereto.

After much discussion of the above matter by the Board and the County School Board,
McCue, Chairman, appointed the following committee to work with a committee from the City
~ouncil to determine joint means for financing the proposed joint negro high school: C.R. ~
)orrier, E. L. Ballard and W. W. Wood. ~
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned.
