1949-02-18 The Coo~ty Executive presented and read to the meeting au agreement for the pur-
chase of street and highway lighting service, traffic ligl~ting service and miscellaneous
light and power service from the Virginia Electric and Power Company, a copy of which said
agreement is attached to and made a part of these minutes, and the County Executive then
stated that the proposed agreement for the purchase of electric service was, in his opinion,
very advantageous to the County. Thereupon a general discussion ensued, and upon motion
duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, it was:
RESOLVED that the proposed agreement for the purchase of
street and highway lighting s'ervice,, traffic lighting service, and
miscellaneous light and power ser~ioe from the Virginia Electric
and Power Company by the Bounty of Albemarle, Virginia, be and it
h~reby is approved.

A survey of the Welfare Department, prepared by Mrs. Argue H. Loving, Superinten-
dent, was presented and ordered filed:
Communication was received from J. Gordon Bennett~ Auditor of Public Accounts,
enclosing copies of the audit of the acc~ounts ~nd records of Jesse Bo Wilson, trial justice
of Albemarle County.
Claim against the County amounting to $104,977.85, were presented, ex,mined, and
allowed and certified to the Director of Finance for payment and charged to the following
funds:
