Present: J.M. Fr~y_, Chairmmn, G. Pmrcell M~cCue, J.E.Abell, P~H. Gentry, W.H.Langho~ne and J.A.0'Neill. ~he minutes of the last me.e~ing.were read and approved. At the request of J. 0;Thurman and it appearing that notices were on the 1st day of April 1~29, that being the l~t'day of the April Term of the ~ircu~ Court of Albemarle County,Va. posted at the~front doer ef the court house of said county and at two plmces in the neighborhood of'the read proposed to be closed; therefore en motion ~ly seconded J,B.Kegley, H.G.Waddell, C.M..G~rnett, S.A, Calhoun and W~.R. Duke are appointed viewers to view so much of the County Road from Stony Point Road te Hammock's Gap Road that lies within the lands of J~O~Thurmmn and make report in writing whether i n their, opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from discontinuing said road as above set out. The viewers shall meet~at ~:00 A.~. on the 17th day of August 192~ and file with the ~ler~ .of this board~ on or before the 21day of August 192~ their report in wri ting. At the reques~ of Seth Burnley, 0oumty Engineer, and it appearing that notices were on the~ 3rd day of June 19~9, that being 1st day of the June Term of the~Clreuit Court ef Albemarle ~ou~ty, Va. posted at the front door of the 0curt house of said county and at two places in the neighborhood of the road proposed to be cloEed; therefore on motion duly seconded J.B~Jegley, H,G.~addell, C.M.G~rnett, 8.A.Calhoun and ~.RjI~ke are~ appointed viewers to view a portion of the ~ounty Read The viewers shall meet at ~:0G A.M. on the l?th day of August 1929 and file ~th the ~terk of th~ Board en or before the 21st day of A~gus~t X~29 their report in writing. On motion of a..Purce!l M~c~e and seconded by J,~E.AbelI it is ordered that in consideration of George A.TerrelI an inmate of the Joint Home from this aeunty assigning 'all of his property to Albemarle County, the county will at the death of the said Terrell decently bury him in the old TerrelI Grave Yard and place a marker over his grave. On motion of ~H. Langhorne and seconded by J.A.0~Neill it is ordered that Samuel Miller ~istr:ict be permitted to do all of the work on the Critzer S~hep ~'oad from ~ to #39. The claim of $~B~N0rford Est. for $§GJ00 for right of w~y at Burnt Mills was refused. The report of~ Dr. Young, health officer, in regard to the county jail was read and it is ordered that said report be turned over ~o Seth ]~urnley, County ~nager,. with power to act On motie~ duly seconded it is ordered that a sum not exceeding $50.00 be appropriated to fight the increase, freight rate 'on-tinl~and that L,F.Smith, aOmmon- wealths Attorney, ~ake such-action as n~y deem necessary. On motion of p.H~Gentry and seconded by J~E.Abell. it is ordered that the bridge on the 01d Lynohburg Read be.-moved to the brmnch Deyond E.Y.Sutherlands on condition that the citizens~pay ene~half.-ef the total cost of'$245..00. On motion of' JAE.Abeil mnd seconded ~y P.E,Gentry it is ordered, that Seth Burnley, County.~n~germ, be aut~horized to buy a¥1ot for the storing of 0ounty property at a price net to exceed $450G.00.
